Our Story
Built to serve the public interest
The Foundation was established to promote a justice system that is accessible, transparent, and accountable. Its work brings together educational resources, seminars, publications, and public-awareness initiatives that help citizens, families, self-represented litigants, and community stakeholders better understand their rights and responsibilities.
Grounded in a formal, evidence-based approach, Equal Justice Foundation emphasizes practical education, respectful dialogue, and reform that protects fairness under law. The organization does not provide legal advice or legal representation, but it does provide trusted information, civic education, and pathways for constructive engagement.

Founder
Leadership rooted in experience
Equal Justice Foundation was founded by Marcelo Prado, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and County Mediator. His professional background informs the Foundation’s commitment to fairness, due process, respectful conflict resolution, and public trust in the justice system.
That leadership perspective shapes the Foundation’s focus on families, children, seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, legal professionals, educators, and self-represented litigants. The goal is not only to address present challenges, but also to encourage long-term reforms that strengthen institutions and expand meaningful access to justice.
We believe equal justice depends on education, integrity, and a shared commitment to constructive reform.

As the organization grows, it aims to deepen partnerships, expand educational programming, and support broader public engagement. The Foundation also notes that 501(c)(3) recognition is intended but not yet granted, so contributions may not currently be tax-deductible.
